DOUBLE BASE

Another product to receive a full refresh, our v2.0 Sleeveless Base Layer features all-new, softer and even faster drying recycled fabrics, plus fit tweaks based on 4 years of feedback.

As with our Long Sleeve Base Layer, this is a product that works perfectly when layered beneath any of our jerseys, but is also styled and engineered to be worn on its own, thanks in part to the convenient rear phone pocket.

It even manages a UPF 15 sun protection rating, despite the fine mesh appearance.

THE SCIENCE BIT

It's hard to speak too passionately about a product like a base layer. And yet, if you don't use one, it's impossible to overstate the difference it makes to your ride comfort.

This is especially true in the heat. Because what you’re really managing on the bike isn’t just temperature.

It’s moisture.

Your body cools itself by sweating. That part is obvious. What’s less obvious is what happens next. Because if that moisture sits on your skin, three things happen:

1. You lose heat too quickly when conditions change (descents, shade, wind)
2. Wet fabric sticks uncomfortably to your body
3. Your temperature regulation becomes inconsistent

In simple terms: you go from too hot, to too cold. Repeatedly.

WHY A BASE LAYER HELPS

Wearing a base layer in hot weather acts as a moisture management system, NOT an extra layer of insulation.

The textured micro-mesh used in our base layer fabric literally pulls sweat away from your skin (via capillary action) and spreads it across a larger surface area, allowing the outer jersey layer to evaporate it to the air.

The first part of the process is known as wicking, and the latter is called transpiration.

When your fabric works as well as ours, it changes how your entire system performs:

> Your jersey works better
> Your body works less to regulate temperature
> You maintain a more consistent output over time

Especially on long rides, that consistency - and comfort - compounds.

SWEAT THE DETAIL

We design our products for output, not optics.

Merino wool has its uses, but a high performance summer base layer is simply not one of them. It's heavy when wet, slow to dry and struggles to move moisture away from the skin efficiently.

When performance is non-negotiable - long hours, variable conditions, high effort - the priority is simple:

Move moisture away from the skin as fast as possible, and keep it there.

That’s why advanced synthetic fabrics like ours remain the benchmark.

Because comfort on the bike isn’t just about what you’re wearing.

It’s about what your body isn’t having to fight.
