Whatever the weather conditions, having a layer of fabric between your skin and your outer garment is critical in both moisture and temperature management. AKA comfort.
Of course, science is rarely that straightforward, which is why our goal at Kostüme is to make products that just work, so you don't need to even think about it.
In this case, we've taken the tried and tested recycled waffle fabric from our sleeveless base layer, and sewn it up with an articulated raglan sleeve (for enhanced on-bike fit) and close-fitting cuff made from offcuts of our impossibly soft and silky jersey fabric.
The Kostüme ethos of ‘less is more’ clearly doesn’t apply when it comes to pockets.
Our flagship jersey has no less than six, including a discreet zippered key/card pocket and a unique double-width outer mesh at the rear, for flexible loading and accessibility.
Hint: it’s not about carrying more, it’s about carrying smarter.
...waffle
The structured 3D waffle (made of regenerated yarn from plastic bottles) helps with warmth and wicking, trapping tiny pockets of air next to the body.
That performance is elevated to new levels when combined with the long sleeve jersey, bringing warmth on cool days but crucially without overheating when the temperatures rise.
The cuffs ensure not only exceptional comfort on an extremely sensitive part of the body, it also stops the sleeves from riding up your arms when pulling on outer layers.
Finally, a rear phone pocket opens up the opportunity to wear it as a single layer, or underneath civvies, or even, dare we say it, for other outdoor activities like running, hiking or winter sports.
Of course, you can also wear it just for cycling if you like.
