KOSTÜME PRESENTS CAN:DO
By Ed Bartlett
Everywhere you look these days, people are having epic adventures on their bikes.
The gradual, inexorable transition from faster to further, higher and wilder makes for some incredible stories and images, but it's becoming hard to escape the feeling that everyone else is having a bigger and better time than you.
Aspiration is no bad thing, but it means very different things to different people - something which increasingly seems to be forgotten.
Adventure is everywhere, and for everyone
In an attempt to actively redress that balance, Kostüme presents CAN:DO - a far-reaching project exploring the rich and diverse world of cycling from new and different voices and perspectives.
CAN:DO will bring together real, relatable stories about people and place, and the role cycling plays in the way we live our lives and experience the world around us.
Launch content
CAN:DO will cover a wide range of subjects across an equally broad mix of forms and platforms.
For the launch of CAN:DO, outdoor and cycling journalist Matt Swaine speaks with fellow Audax Club Bristol member Thom Hadfield about the power of the microadventure, combatting anxiety through cycling, bikepacking tips, and why we are all just nature.
This brand new podcast series is accompanied by a photoset by Fergus Coyle, and a short film by Square Sun Studio, which can be found at the Kostüme YouTube page.
The project will evolve to encompass long-form articles, events, rider support, product development and more. If you have an interesting story you would like to share, please get in touch, and make sure to follow our feeds on Instagram, YouTube and your podcast directory of choice.
